dani

hi everyone.
i am alex fraser, soon to be dani's big, way older sister. i am 15 and dani is 5. a ten year difference. but who cares. i am going to be one of those career women big sister. haha. we found dani on the waiting childrens list around september or october i am not sure. it was very cool though. she was wearing a purple outfit and had a cute grin. i told my mom as soon as i saw her picture that she is the one, she has to be apart of our family. my family and i hope to get our LOA (letter of approval) soon. then we can start making travel arrangements.. i can't wait!....

step back to october 2007

navigating a blog is brand new to this writer, and have had lot's of fun figuring it out. this story starts way back but for now, i think the short version will suffice. we found out back in october that our local adoption agency had a new waiting children's list. adoption had been a discussion for several years, with various barriers that stymied proceeding much furthur than just talk. alex and john were getting older, and we realized if we were to move forward we wanted to do so before alex and john were all "grown up!" we placed a call to the adoption agency and as things seem to do, ironically they had a child, (actually two), that were in the age group we thought would be a nice fit for our family. it was with a great deal of excitement that we looked forward to viewing the files on these two girls. i think the decision was already made as we opened the file of the first little girl, (aka violet), off the october waiting children's list. the description of her personality was as if she was already born into our family......so seven months later, we are now waiting for our LOA from china, and hopefully a journey this summer to start a new chapter of life as dani joins our family.

this is wu ke yi, soon to be dani ke yi fraser. we found dani in october on a waiting child's list. our family decided she would be a perfect addition, as she was described as "naughty, capable, and just like a boy" sounds so much like other members of our family!!!!

we have been super busy getting ready for dani to join our family. along with soccer, cross country, tae kwan do, and school, we finished another room and bathroom in our home, have since moved alex into it, and are currently redoing her room for john, and than we will redo john's room for dani.

note to dani, we are excited and can't wait until you are here. we love you!
