TA and travel

TA is somewhere in the mail, plane tickets have been booked, and we have a consulate date!! a week later than anticipated and well into high season on the ticket pricing, YECK!! now everyone has to finish school, pack, and we are off to meet miss dani. i'm thinking our family's life is about to change.............

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!

Today is john's 14th birthday. we celebrated with indiana jones in the theatre, with pizza and chocolate cake for dinner. of course we had to play smash brothers brawl, in which john thoroughly kicked my behind. Happy birthday, john!

TA-in the mail!

the journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step---Lao Tzu

this saying says it all in describing life in our family in this time. describing both our imminent journey to china and the happenings of this day. we have been notified that our TA is in the mail and we should see it by the end of the week. what this means is starting to outline our trip to china. tomorrow i need to call the travel agency, consulate dates will need to be booked, and paperwork filed, that we will need in china, to finish our adoption of dani. amazing times, and stay tuned................

Earthquake update

hello, we have received several phone calls from friends and family in regards to how dani might be doing. the information we have is that dani is living in a city approximately 400 miles away. at this time, we have not heard any news that might indicate that this city is involved with any damage. we will keep the news updated and thank all who are concerned.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Waiting for TA

we are waiting for our next set paperwork from china, letting us know it's time to travel to get dani. we are busy here, alex with track, her team took first in league, and districts are this week. soccer tryouts are on monday, and alex tested for her black belt in tae kwan do. john is busy mastering smash brothers brawl, acting out skits word for word, from a certain comedian, and graciously helps me stack wood. we have finished dani's new room, and it looks awesome, though some in our household think it might be too "girly"
